This year we marked the 80 anniversary of VE day - remembering the brave men and women who served during World War II.

On 8th May 1945, the nation celebrated the end of the war in Europe – a moment of great relief, pride, and reflection. We honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of that remarkable generation.

Our residents from our Residential Care Home New Bradley Hall shared stories, memories, and reflections as we paid tribute to those who gave so much for the freedom we enjoy.

Residents at our Retirement Living schemes also enjoyed a special afternoon filled with music, laughter, and homemade treats as we came together to honour VE Day.

Derek, a 99-year-old customer at Stambermill House, shared his experiences of going to war and showing us his medals.

There were thoughtful conversations, personal memories shared, and plenty of pride as we paid tribute to those who lived through such a significant time in history.

A truly meaningful day for everyone involved.
