About the bespoke scheme
The UK government launched the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ scheme to support any Ukrainian nationals fleeing their country as a result of the ongoing war. The scheme aims to provide a home to any Ukrainian from individuals or organisations in the UK who are willing to volunteer to offer sponsored accommodation.
As a social business committed to making a positive impact on people and communities, Black Country Housing Group will support our tenants who want to help those seeking refuge in the UK. Tenants living in a BCHG property and have spare room(s) can become sponsors.
Eligibility to become an accommodation sponsor:
- BCHG tenant living in any of our General Needs Housing or Shared Ownership property.
- Approval from BCHG as a landlord to register in order to ensure the property is suitable.
- Ability to provide accommodation for a minimum of 6 months.
If you would like to register as an accommodation sponsor, please contact cro@bchg.co.uk and we will arrange a time to approve the property’s suitability.
